Sarah (Khan) Ahmad ’03
SAGE Intern @ Conexant
Sarah currently works at Conexant Systems Inc. as an Applications Engineer, working on projects that include programming, project management and administration. Sarah credits her ability to manage multiple group of individuals locally and abroad to her leadership experience gained through the Bren School and the SAGE program.
Nazaret Aslanian ’04
SAGE Intern @ Western Digital
Upon graduation, Nazaret accepted a full-time position at Western Digital. He currently works for Disney Online as a Technical Producer. Nazaret’s responsibilities in the position include maintaining sites as well as working with designers to build new features and functionality to FamilyFun.com and Wondertime.com.
Anas Chaudry ’05
SAGE Intern @ Edwards Lifesciences
As a software developer, Anas has gained experience in client and project management, as well as marketing. He is now a project integrator for a new development team as well as a member of a senior leadership team overhauling a product development process. He says that SAGE showed him that there was just as much to learn outside the classroom as there was to learn inside one.
Frank Chen ’04
SAGE Intern @ Unisys
During his time at Unisys as an intern, Frank met with and drew inspiration from the attorneys at the company. His converations with them inspired his passion for patent law. He was recently awarded a $30,000 scholarship and is pursuing his passion for patent law at University of Michigan.
Ken Frazier ’03
SAGE Intern @ SageTree
Ken is currently a User Interface (UI) Architect at Teradata, a data warehousing company. As a technical lead for a team of UI developers, he provides guidance and expert advice on UI design for various web-based applications. Ken is also in his second year at UCI’s Merage School of Business where he is pursuing an M.B.A. with a marketing specialty.
Terica Kindred ’03
SAGE Intern @ Conexant
One of Ebony Magazine’s "Top 30 Under 30" young leaders of 2006, Terica is a consultant at Deloitte, working with clients like Warner Brothers and Fender Guitars, among others. Terica is also a published author and founder and executive director of a nonprofit organization that helps minority students go from college to career (www.plan4success.org).
Jahmeilah Richardson ’05
SAGE Intern @ Broadcom
Since graduating, Jahmeilah has been at the Georgia Institute of Technology pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction. She is currently working on her Master’s project entitled "The cultural demands of balancing personal and professional life online for undergraduate college students." Jam hopes to pursue a Ph.D. next at UC Irvine’s Bren School.
Shawn Shah ’05
SAGE Intern @ Edwards Lifesciences
A Technical Yahoo! for Yahoo! Shopping’s product database team, Shawn develops web applications, manages a product matching system, and finds new ways to deliver data to customers. Shawn credits SAGE for giving him the experience he needed to land a job at Yahoo!. Look out for a product that Shawn envisioned and pitched to be released as a part of Yahoo! Shopping 6.0.
Jason Tong ’03
Sage Intern @ Unisys
Jason found his future employer as a SAGE scholar intern at the Unisys Corporation. Today, he is a Software Engineer 3 at Unisys. In this position, Jason designs, implements and tests software systems that support enterpriseclass servers. His applications are used daily by commercial businesses and governments throughout the world.
Nhu Vuong ’05
SAGE Intern @ Metafuse
Nhu is a software engineer at Google, assigned to the Google Internal Systems team. She is currently working on developing Web applications and tools for internal company use. Nhu credits project classes for teaching her what it really means to work with a team of people with diverse skills and personalities and to be able to stick together to deliver a finished quality product.
